My Unusual And Addictive Love For Poetry

The beauty of art is that it provides us with things that everyone can relate with. It appeals to the soul, spirit and body. Also, it cuts across all aspects of life including science, business, politics, career, technology, spirituality and all you can think of. Poetry is just a branch of art.

Poetry is a fundamental part of my life. It’s a part of me that I couldn’t silence in spite of how hard I have tried.

I started writing poetic lines when I was about 12. It wasn’t planned. I only noticed that I developed an unusual ability to picture things and create vivid descriptions of them.

Looking at the sky, I could paint it comfortably using a myriad of beautiful words. The passion for it was endless.

As times went by, I developed a good library of self-composed poems. Most of my poems don’t follow any conventional structure and pattern. The iambics aren’t Shakespearean or tailored according to high school literature. Rather, they are just my basic expression of words according to my own rules.

I decided to create this category for Poetry here on Notemast in order to publish my works on poetry and also to give other poets a platform to have their voices heard.

Some of the articles that I will post here are articles I wrote for my friends, families and clients on the account of their birthday celebrations. And the language used are English, Igbo, and Nigerian Pidgin English.

Poetry Guest Posts

In line with the regulations stipulated for guest posting on this blog, you can submit your poems for publication. I’ll be building a vast library here and everyone is invited to be a part of it.

If you’re an art lover, I believe you’ll love my works. If you’re not, get ready for a ride that will take you beyond your imagination.
